4th Grade Poetry

As we turned our compost pile, a 4th grader said “Hey! Look at this elderly artichoke!”

We then had inspiration to create:

THE ARTICHOKE

There once was an elderly artichoke

who disliked cheese on it’s knees

However, it really loved bees

One stormy day

It happened to sneeze

And fell into the compost pile

The worm ate it with a smile 🙂

THE LADYBUG

OOOOhhh a Ladybug went flying by

It flew up into the sky

Hmmm, it fell down with a fright

in the middle of the night

It might have to fly a kite

It landed on my back!

It flew into a sack

It was a big sack of apples

…as juicy as a Snapple!
